| Testimonials: Sifu Gallaher's Gung Fu Institute has become not only a hobby for me, but
a way of life. I joined the women's' kickboxing class in May, hoping to get in better
shape, and learn some kickboxing techniques. I gained that and much more. Sifu Gallaher
teaches self defense techniques for many situations as well as the mental preparation, and
the attitude to know I can and will defend myself if needed. In addition, the Wing Chun
and Jeet Kune Do classes have given me a better understanding of body mechanics and how to
manipulate the opponent's energy to my advantage.
It is a fun environment and a great workout. I have more energy during the day and the
class schedule is convenient with after work hours. I would recommend the Gung Fu
institute to anyone who wants a little more out of life.

| Nine months ago I came to the acute realization
that my life was missing something. I had spent four years of college filled with exams,
presentations, and papers, only to find myself in a boring desk job re-examining my goals.
I knew however it wasnt merely a matter of my career aspirations that was causing my
feelings of discontent. So I decided to take up something I had always wanted to do
the martial arts. I researched different styles and schools in the area trying Karate,
Brazilian Jujitsu, and Tae Kwon Do. None of these seemed very appealing however. I wanted
to learn how to realistically defend myself, not perform hours of kata in a gi. I came
across an ad for Jeet Kune Do Bruce Lees expression of combat at David
Gallahers Gung Fu Institute, and I knew I was on to something. After reading about
Sifu Gallahers credentials I knew I had found a master who has devoted most of his
life perfecting the arts he teaches and has traveled the world to learn them in their
truest forms. Nine months later after consistently taking Jeet Kune Do, Wing Chun, and
Kali, I have more energy, stamina, and power than I have had since high school. I have a
working knowledge of no-nonsense, reality-based self-defense and greater confidence in my
abilities as a martial artist and more importantly as a complete human being. I recommend
the Gung Fu Institute to anyone looking to learn not only several reality based martial
arts, but to really have fun with a great group of friends.

Dear Sifu,
"Martial Arts is a journey... but you need to be here" and it isn't
until now that I am beginning to understand the significance behind
your statement. I can only imagine how much of an impact you have had
on so many people's lives and sometimes literally :-)
I am actually living in Juarez, Mexico now with my family. It has
always been the most dangerous city per capita in the entire country.
I cannot thank you enough, and although I was only one level into JKD
your words will forever hold their value.
God Bless

Dear David, Let me
thank you once again, for your help during the Chinese festival.
It takes a lot of time and effort to carry our all
the good intentions one has for this type of event... to promote and
share our culture heritage. I greatly
appreciate your help and your enthusiasm (some of you even remained
behind well beyond seven o'clock on Easter Sunday to take down all the
decorations and close things down). It
would not be possible for me to carry out this project successfully
without your help and your kindness. Many
thanks to you again for your friendship and generosity.
Yours sincerely and appreciatively,
Yolande Hsu |
